Hi, my name is Jessica Lawrence.

When I was fifteen, I was fortunate enough to take a bicycle trip with other teenagers and a couple of counselors through Europe for a month. I came back with the dream of someday bicycling across the country. This past summer, starting on June 8, twenty-three summers later, I fulfilled that dream.

As if the goal of bicycling across the country isn't enough I hope to raise $25,000 to support the Alliance for a Healthier Generation's work in childhood obesity prevention in school and out-of-school time. We are almost there at $22,130! As a national school health consultant, inspired by Alliance's work to make schools healthier places for students and staff, I want to bring awareness that healthy kids truly do learn better. My business, Cairn Guidance has a mission to: Create places of health and well-being where kids can win through education. Even though my journey is complete, I am still trying to reach my fundraising goal of $25K (almost there!) and keynoting at various conferences and meetings on my journey and key life lessons learned. This site was my travel blog, including preparation, training and the actual trip. I hope this inspires each of you reading this to be bold, courageous and select one lifelong dream you have and accomplish it. Embrace every day to the fullest.
